About us

In 2002 Stéphanie Berecz and Zsolt Berecz founded their family estate, Kikelet. They currently own 7 hectares of vineyards.

Stéphanie comes from the Loire Valley and graduated as an oenologist in Bordeaux in 1994. A few months later she moved to the Tokaj Wine Region to gain experience as a member of an internationally recognised team. She quickly fell in love with the wine region.

The estate is in the heart of Tarcal, a former splendid market town in the Tokaj Wine Region. The Tarcal vineyards have always been regarded as outstanding terroir in the region as several old documents testify. Noble and aristocratic families battled for their ownership rights. Tarcal is one of the most southern villages of the wine region
